With EU and BMZ Support, Orange Jordan Connects PASS-Supported Startups with Leading Private Sector Entrepreneurs

Under the “Private Sector Access to Support Startups” (PASS) programme, which is co-funded by the Germ Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), Orange Jordan has organized three regional networking meetups across the Kingdom. Building on its efforts to strengthen Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and to empower 130 entrepreneurs, the initiative aims to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, bringing together supported startups with investors, private-sector companies, NGOs, business associations, and entrepreneurship support organizations.
The networking sessions took place in Amman at the Orange Digital Village, Innovation Hub and in Aqaba and Irbid at “The Platform”, the technology center under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs project managed by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) and implemented in partnership with INJAZ. Notably, the session held in Amman also welcomed startups from Karak, extending their reach to essential and dynamic industry networks.
This initiative initially enabled participating entrepreneurs and organizations to present their activities before embarking on direct networking opportunities that pave the way for exploring market access and business connections, investment, service provision, and potential partnerships. Moreover, organizations from various key sectors, such as financial technology and consulting, actively engaged in one-on-one discussions with the startups.
Furthermore, these strategic gatherings perfectly complement PASS programme’s comprehensive, tailored training, individual guidance, and mentorship, moving from capacity building to business opportunities by facilitating market engagement that generates milestones for all involved parties.
Orange Jordan emphasized that entrepreneurship contributes to economic growth by creating jobs, introducing new solutions, and generating opportunities within communities. The private sector plays a vital role in supporting startups to realize this potential, as customers, partners, and investors. Through PASS, entrepreneurs are given a platform to connect with these stakeholders to help them understand market needs, explore business opportunities, and build relationships that support their long-term growth.
The initiative further embodies Orange Jordan’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across governorates and ensuring sustainable startup growth while unlocking access to the connections required to secure customers, investors, and long-term business partners, beyond skill development.
The Private Sector Access to Support Startups (PASS) is implemented in partnership with Orange Jordan, the GIZ-implemented project “Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment” (E4DE), and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU).
