Jordan Ahli Bank Presents ‘The Coinage of Madaba in the Jordan Ahli Bank Numismatics Museum’ to Greater Madaba Municipality

Under the patronage of Eng. Haitham Jweinat, Head of the Greater Madaba Municipality Committee, Jordan Ahli Bank hosted a book signing ceremony for ‘The Coinage of Madaba – in the Jordan Ahli Bank Numismatics Museum’ by Dr. Hassan Abed Al-Zyoud. Held at the Ottoman Saraya Hall in Madaba, the event marked the official presentation of the publication as a gift from the bank to the Greater Madaba Municipality.
The book explores a distinct facet of the city’s history through its coinage, featuring a curated collection of 58 coins representing emperors whose currency was minted in Madaba. In doing so, the book highlights the city’s historical and cultural significance while enriching specialized research in this field.
The publication reflects Jordan Ahli Bank’s continued commitment to preserving national heritage and promoting historical knowledge through the Jordan Ahli Bank Numismatics Museum. Established in 1999, the museum is the first specialized institution of its kind owned by a commercial bank in Jordan, serving as a trusted cultural and academic reference for researchers, scholars and students alike.
