Umniah by Beyon Continues Network Expansion and Phase Two of 5G Rollout with Ericsson

Umniah by Beyon, Jordan’s Best Mobile Network, is continuing to expand and enhance its network across Jordan as part of its ongoing investment in network infrastructure. The expansion will increase network capacity and performance to meet growing demand for internet and data services and deliver a more reliable and consistent connectivity experience for consumers and businesses.

The project includes upgrades to network components, increased capacity and performance improvements, strengthening Umniah by Beyon’s ability to support the growing reliance on digital services and applications across everyday life and business.

For businesses and institutions, the expanded network provides greater capacity to support day-to-day operations, cloud services and data exchange. It also strengthens network resilience and flexibility, helping organizations keep pace with their evolving connectivity needs.

For individual customers, the network upgrades support the growing use of internet services for remote work and learning, video calls, online gaming and digital content, while enabling more connected devices to operate simultaneously.

As the first telecom operator to launch 5G services in Jordan, Umniah by Beyon is also continuing the second phase of its 5G network expansion in strategic partnership with global technology company Ericsson. This phase is focused on extending coverage, increasing network capacity and strengthening the network’s readiness to meet the evolving digital needs of consumers and businesses.

The investment builds on the performance of Umniah by Beyon’s network, which has received international recognition through Ookla®’s Speedtest Awards™. Umniah by Beyon was named Fastest Mobile Network in Jordan in 2024 and Best Mobile Network in Jordan in 2025, based on user-initiated tests conducted through the Speedtest® platform in real-world conditions.

Yusuf Sater, Chief Technology Officer at Umniah by Beyon, said: “Network development is about more than increasing capacity or upgrading infrastructure. It is about preparing the network for what customers need today and what they will need tomorrow. As data usage and digital services continue to grow, we are investing in a network that can keep pace with that growth and deliver a more reliable and efficient experience for consumers and businesses.”

Sater added: “The second phase of our 5G expansion with Ericsson builds on what we have achieved since becoming the first operator to launch 5G in Jordan. Our recognition by Ookla as the Fastest Mobile Network in Jordan in 2024 and the Best Mobile Network in Jordan in 2025 reflects the network’s performance in real-world use and reinforces our commitment to continue investing in its development.
