Zain and the University of Jordan Renew Partnership to Provide Healthcare Services through Zain Free Mobile Clinic

Continuing their efforts to enhance healthcare services and provide free medical care to those in need, Zain Jordan and the University of Jordan, in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), have announced the renewal of their cooperation agreement. This agreement includes delivering joint healthcare services through various programs and initiatives.
Under the renewed agreement, Zain will continue its collaboration with the University of Jordan by deploying Zain’s Free Mobile Clinic during medical campaigns and free health days organized by the university. These initiatives target university students, as well as elderly individuals, through visits to nursing homes, offering comprehensive healthcare and dental services.
This renewal builds on the long-standing partnership between the two parties, which has seen the implementation of numerous initiatives, free medical days, and field visits benefiting hundreds of patients. Services included free medical check-ups and care for University of Jordan students through Zain’s Free Mobile Clinic stationed on campus, in collaboration with the University’s Faculty of Dentistry. So far, 196 students from various faculties have been examined and treated, with services including dental awareness campaigns, free dental check-ups, fillings, root canal treatments, gum disease care, and fixed dental prosthetics.
Additionally, six field visits were organized to the Wadi Al-Shita Elderly Care Center, where healthcare and dental services were provided to residents with the participation of postgraduate students specializing in prosthodontics. Residents were examined in Zain’s mobile clinic and received treatments such as non-surgical tooth extraction, tartar removal, teeth cleaning, and preparation for full dentures.
Zain Jordan emphasized that renewing this collaboration with the University of Jordan aligns with its ongoing initiatives and contributions to the healthcare sector in the Kingdom, which is a key focus area in its sustainable programs. This step reflects the company’s continued commitment to the local community and its dedication to leveraging its capabilities to improve healthcare services and ensure access to beneficiaries throughout the country. Zain expressed pride in this partnership, which is an extension of its strong relationship with the University of Jordan across multiple fields, and looks forward to continuing to serve more individuals in need of healthcare nationwide.
It is worth noting that more than 260,000 individuals have benefited from the services of Zain’s Free Mobile Clinic since its launch in 2002. This initiative is part of Zain’s corporate social responsibility efforts in the health sector, aimed at supporting the local community and facilitating access to healthcare services, while promoting health awareness in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), which guides the company’s sustainability programs.
The clinic operates in coordination with the Ministry of Health and local community organizations, offering comprehensive free healthcare services, including screening for communicable and infectious diseases, chronic disease follow-up, dental care, and child health monitoring. It is fully equipped with medical facilities and staffed by qualified healthcare professionals, including a pediatrician and a dentist. Medical examinations cover clinical assessments, oral health check-ups, and provision of free medications and treatments. Cases requiring specialized care for chronic conditions are referred to public healthcare sector specialists for continued treatment.
